Very rare. Epiphyte, cespitóse. Associated with ants. Leaves forming a
semi-spreading tank rosette. Sheaths palébrown on both surfaces.
Blades strongly coriaceous, dark green and covered with white
lepidote indûment, especially on the abaxial side. Inflorescence erect,
turning pendulous when old. Scape green, with sparse floccose white
indûment. Scape and primary bracts green. Spike stipes green and
glabrous. Floral bracts brown. Fruits, including sepals, light yellow with
green.
