Habitat
Pasture, former sandhill, under shade of pines. Growing with Opuntia humifusa, Chapmannia floridana, Asclepias humistrata, Tragia urens, Lupinus diffusus, and Galactia. Locally abundant.

Description
Stems erect, leaves linear, many rather falcate, often broadly undulate/sinuate, flowers with small yellow or maroon outer petals, innner petals veery small, succulent, maroon. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
