PLANTS OF ILLINOIS, USA Acer saccharum Marshall Aceraceae Det: S.R. Hill, (ILLS) 2006 KENDALL COUNTY 41 ° 41' 5.2" N.Lat., 088 0 30’ 53.4" W.Long. [NAD 27] East floodplain terrace of Big Rock Creek, between creek and Needham Road, east side of Plano. R. Harrington property, north of vacation home. Elevation about 189 meters. Park-like floodplain forest with Acer saccharum. Bromus inermis, Celtis occidentalis, Fraxinus quadrangulata, Poa pratensis, Quercus macrocarpa, Trifolium pratense, Ulmus americana, Ulmus rubra, Verbesina altemifolia. Common tree about 10-20 meters tall, flowers green, pendulous. Leaf undersides pubescent, though immature. Steven R. Hill 36793 18 April 2006 02489057
