Acer rubrum L.
NEW YORK, SUFFOLK CO.: Huntington Station, in the Paumonek
Wetland, west of Walt Whitman High School, along the edge of the
woods next to the school athletic field. Medium sized, multi-trunked tree
growing. Flowers bright cherry red. In at the edge of an Oak-Hiqjkory
Mesic Woodland; partially covered with Rosa multiflora, Celastrus
orbiculatus, and Toxicodendron radicans.
