Growing next to a Phragmites wetland/patch. Water seeps up when soil is stepped on. Growing in an Oak-Hickory Mesic Woodland with Phragmites australis ssp. australis, Lindera benzoin, Rosa multiflora, Clethra alnifolia, Aster, Salix, and Prunus. Matthew C.
