Huntington, Long Island, New York. Ca. 28 m northeast of the old
truck path, and 85 m northeast of the Long Island Railroad tracks.
40°50'16.12"N, 73°26'22.02"W; 55m elevation.
Tree to 4.6 m. Young seed bright red. Single individual with 1 or 2
year old seedlings a meter away. Growing in a brushy 21 year old old-
field with Prunus serotina, Juniperus virginiana, Lonicera japonica,
Cornus florida, young saplings of Acer platanoides and Malus.
