ACERACEAE Acer negundo L.	Female.
Tree 10 m. tall, 30 cm. in diameter, leaning.
Floodplain forest along Pine River and Spring Creek,
with Acer saccharinum, Ulmus americana (now mostly
dead), Populus deltoides, Zanthoxylum americanum.
Many nearby individuals of this species have already
lost most or all of their leaves. Twigs of last year
bright green; twigs of this year's growth purplish, the
more vigorous ones glaucous.
