The New York Botanical Garden Plants of U.S.A. Aceraceae Acer negundo L. det. M. Nee, 2011 WISCONSIN, Richland Co., 3 miles SE of center of Richland Center. T 10 N; R 1 E; SE% SE % Sect. 26. 43°18’32”N, 90°20’00’W. alt. 230 itt. Spontaneous trees growing up about 30 years ago, along gully on gentle W-facing slope of agricultural fields, with some Prunus serotina and formerly Ulmus americana (all have died over time from Dutch elm disease). Tree 12 m. tall, 25 cm. in diameter. Bark shallowly furrowed, tight. Twigs yellow-green, not glaucous. Female; flowers inconspicuous; stigmas light green and evidently receptive as the male trees in the vicinity are now releasing pollen. Voucher for wood specimen, MADw, collected today; wood light-colored, with little or no differentiation of sapwood from heartwood. Coll.: M. Nee 57850 24 April 2011 02485154
