Aceraceae Acer gtaaa&r Maxim. det. M. Nee, 2014 WISCONSIN, Richland Co., 3 miles SE of center of Richland Center. 43°18’19”N, 90°19’58”W. alt. 241 m. T 10 N; R 1 E: NW'/iNWVi sect. 36. Fencerow between perennial pasture and cultivated field, NW-facing slope, unshaded, the fencrow being invaded by Zanthoxylum americanum, Prunus serótina, P. virginiana, Rubus occidentalis. Ribes missouriense. Shrub 4 m. tall, but had been cut when young and resprouted so it is a few years older, the stem 5.5 cm. in diameter. Voucher for wood specimen, MADw. Only one plant of this species seen here, and otherwise never noticed on this farm since botanizing began ca. 1960; but see no. 61119 collected 28 May 2014 at 0.8 km to the WSW in the Pine River floodplain. Flowers abundant, yellow-green, visited by a small bee (pollen gathering?). Coll.: M. Nee 61130 6 June 2014 Missouri Botanical. Garden (MO) 02483797
