7 main stems up to 2-3" DBHj bark reddish-brown,
slightly exfoliating. Fairly open bog with wet and
mucky soil. Associated with several other hybrids,
Betula papyrifera, B. pumila var. glandulifera.
Populus tremuloides. P. grandidentata. Larix laricina.
Alnus, Comus, Salix.
