BUTTE CO: West slope of southern Lemhi Range,
Challis National Forest, vicinity Diamond Peak.
Plants nearly dominant much-branched small
tree-large shrub along Badger Creek ca 100 m
upstream (NE) from junction with Bunting Cnyn,
levation ca 7130'. Sts to 10 m or more. With
Salix rigida mackensiana, Poa pratensis,
Glyceria striata and Populus tremuloides.
