N of Hwy 2 and the town of Priest River; NE 1/4 sec 8 and NW 1/4 sec 9 T56N,R4W. Extensive Juncus effusus marsh grading into a Salix geyeriana/Betula glandulosa carr and Carex utriculata, C. vesicaria fen and patches of Typha latifolia marsh. Abundance: prominent in shrub carr w/ Salix spp., Spiraea douglasii and C. utriculata. Shrub 3-4 m tall. Collected by: R. Bursik 1680 i June 1991 w/ S. Spence 02476013
