forest with scattered Picea engelmanii and Abies bifolia trees.
Common shrubs along intermittent stream, up to 3 m tall.
Assoc: Anemone piperi, Calypso bulbosa, Xerophyllum tenax,
Polemonium pulcherrimum, Viola orbiculata, and Trillium
ovatum.
