WISCONSIN, Richland Co., 3.3 km WNW of center of Lone
Rock. Cruson Slough, a large, shallow, spring-fed slough
(less than 1 m deep), controlled by a culvert through the
dam, in floodplain of Wisconsin River, bordered on the
north by the dry sand plain.
T 8 N; R 2 E; SE%SE!/4 sect. 3.
43° 11 !27’'N, 90°14’13”W. alt. 210 m.
With Pontederia cordata, Nymphaea odorata, Nuphar
variegata, Ceratophyllum demersum, Myrophyllum, Elodea,
Potamogeton crispus, Vallisneria americana.
Extensive stand, the dominant and ± the only species over a
large area. Inflorescence erect; flowers blue-violet.
