Herbariua of Newberry College PLANTS OF GUYANA, SOUTH AMERICA Eichhornia diyersifgha (Vahl) Urban PONTEDERIACEAE Several cluaps auong large growth of Nyaphm rudgem. Plants in 1-2 n water at high tide, aany stea tips underwater and without open flowers. Plants with algae covering underwater portions. Plants to 2 n long, petiolate leaves only at stea tips. Flowers blue with yellow spot on upper central perianth lobe. Host flowers with long style, but soae with one staaen as long as the style. No nature fruits seen, GUYANA. Pomeroon District: Pomeroon River just downstream from Tapakuma River. Area within tidal influence even though several km upstream from coast.
