Dear Mr. Ferguson
v	I note in the last number of
the Torrey Bulletin that you report the colleotion
of a Solidago intermediate between Solidago ulmifolia
and Solidago rugosa. As I have very great doubts
about the accuracy of this statement I am writing to
ask about it. Solidago ulmifolla. as I know it in
calcareous districts, dees not send out stolons, while
Solidago rugosa does.
