Carrizo Creek, in shortgrass prairie
and lava-covered hills with juniper,
elev. 5500 ft.
On W slope in and near seeps.
Tree to 25 feet, common among
juniper for about 1/4 mi at base of
lava bluffs; reproducing vegeta-
tively apparently.
