The New York Botanical Garden Plants of U.S.A. Ulmaceae Ulmus pumila L. det. M. Nee, 2009 WISCONSIN, Grant Co., W side of Boscobel, along railroad. Flat, sandy soil, unshaded. T 8 N; R 3 W; sect. NE% sect. 34. 43°07’51”N, 90°43’06”W. alt. 200 m. Small tree 8 m. tall, 16 cm. in diameter, common in grassy field, evidently escaping (it is seen as a cultivated street tree and around houses in nearby town of Boscobel).
