Common small tree of woodlands, with Ouercus spp., 8 m.
tall, 35 cm. in diameter; all but the smallest twigs of
this species with heavy growth of lichens; inner bark
quickly turning yellow-orange, then red-brown. Flowers and
immature fruits. Voucher for bulk medicinal
