Pastured floodplain forest, Acer saccharinum,
A. negundo, Quercus ellipsoidalis, Q. macro-
carpa Salix nigra, Fraxinus pennsylvanica,
Populus tremuloides, young Ulmus americana.
Young tree 20 cm. in diameter, all older
trees have been killed by Dutch Elm Disease
here in the last two decades. Bark furrowed,
brown with white corky layers. Pedicels
green; perianth light brown. Voucher for
wood specimen, MADw 46579.
