United States of America. New York. Bronx Co. New York City. The New York Botanical Garden, half-way between the Watson building and the Magnolia collection, southwest of Twin Lakes, walking southeast on Magnolia Way, on the right before the bridge that goes over the Bronx River.

Urban old growth forest. Secondary woods, mixture of native and cultivated plants including poison ivy, Japanese knotweed, Impatiens capensis, Sassafras, Lindera benzoin.

Description
Tree about 70-80 ft tall, trunk very straight, trunk about 15 in in diameter, flowers succulent, slightly fragrant, cup shaped. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
