United States of America. California. Inyo Co. 3.0 miles north 50° west of Black Mountain summit at the mouth of Black Canyon, Owens Valley drainage.

Habitat
Mixed desert scrub. With Grayia, Lycium, Tetradymia, Atriplex, Xylorhiza, Ambrosia, Psorothamnus, Menodora & Ceratoides. Common in weter years, locally around shrub bases. Calcareous fanglomeratic colluvium sloping 20° south.
