    Browing on gypsum hills. With scrubby oaks, Nolina, Trtrachyron, Tridax, Perymenium and Coreopsis. Abundant.

    Rhizomatous perennial herbs or weak shrubs of 0.4-2 m. tall, corollas golden yellow, herbage scabrous, leaves grayish green. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
