Growing in water at edge of Rio Tortugero.

Lagunas de Tortuguero. Swamp forest, lowland rain forest, and fresh
water aquatic vegetation in an area averaging more than 5 m. of rain per
year. Prov. Limon. 10° 34' N. x 83° 32' W. 0-30 m. altitude.
