Along creek near bridge on west side. Soil damp at this time of year.

Description
Subshrub, 1.5 m tall. Leaves simple, opposite, the axes at the node sometimes with red tinge. Pedicel pubescent. Flowers 4-merous, calyx green, petals yellow at anthesis; ovary inferior, the style and capitate stigma yellow. After petals fall the sepals are green at the apex and reddish at the base. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
