Symphoricarpos albus (L.) S.F. Blake
YUCAIPA / OAK GLEN AREA: “Johnson Canyon" (local name,
not on map). Directly S of Wood Acres Apple Ranch, just E of
Intersection of Potato Cyn Rd. and Oak Glen Rd. Dense shrubby
& herbaceous vegetation along ephemeral stream. Conspicuous
species include Urtica dioica, Toxicodendron diversibbum,
Quercus chrysolepis; occas. Alnus rhombifolia.
Abundant erect shrub, ca 1 m tall. Corollas white, ca. 4-6
mm, inflated on one side. Nectary (if present) not obvious.
