Areas of disturbance along hwy shoulder and along trail. In spruce-aspen community. In rocky soil.

Plants scattered. Ca. 0.5 ft. tall. Apparently perennial. Most with multiple stems from the base. Flowers ranging from light to bright red. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
