T.24 N., R 10 E., NW 1/4 SW1/4 SE 1/4 NW 1/4 sect. 28. West side of EL Route 2, west side of Rock River, 0.1- 0.4 mile south of Mud Creek (Mt. Morris) Road. Slopes south of Mud Creek. Elevation ca. 686-738 feet. Loam and humus over dolomite, with talus. Mesic upland forest with Acer negundo, Acer saccharum, Comus altemifolia, Fraxinus quadrangulata, Quercus muhlenbergii, Q. rubra, Solidago flexicaulis, Tilia americana, Ulmus americana. Common vine ascending into shrubs, or pendent on steep slopes, on dolomite outcrops. Buds pale yellow, leaves glaucous beneath; stems ca. 2 m long. Steven R. Hill 36255 17 May 2005 02442252
