Nicaragua. Nueva Segovia. Ca. 5.2 km N of San Fernando, valley of Río San Fernando (800 m), NE of Portillo Los Coyoles (1083 m), SW up narrow quebrada to Cerro El Peñascal (1125 m).

Habitat
Common in recently disturbed places. Narrow flood plain, steep weathered granite slopes, mixed forest on floodplain, evergreen forest in quebrada and pine-oak forest on slope.
