Brushy areas and with some trees and young woods, Rhus
typhina, Populus deltoides, Ulmus americana, U. pumila, U.
rubra.
Shrub 6 m. tall, to 6 cm. in diameter, normally not this tall,
but this individual supported in a small tree. Voucher for
wood specimen, MADw. Bark pale tan, pelling in long thin
strips. Corolla white, fading light dull yellow.
