Caespitose, flegellate rattan. Leaf sheath 25-30 cm long, dark green basally with
dense covering of whitish specks distally; ocrea short, brownish; knee indistinct;
leaf petiole up to 40 cm long; leaf rachis25-30 cm long, pinnae 2x7, irregularly
distributed in groups of up to 2. Vernacular name: Wai Hann Huu (Thai). Fruits
edible; stem used as rope.
