[NAD27] Roque Bluffs Road Heath, Roque Bluffs Township, heath on north side of Roque Bluffs Road, 4.75 - 5.2 miles southeast of intersection of US Route 1 in Jonesboro. Wet peat over glacial sand and gravel. Margins of maritime spruce-fir forest and in vicinity of margins of open heath bog. With the more common Vaccinium angustifolium. Flowers pale pink-purple on tube, approaching pale grape pink towards apex; locally common trailing viny perennial rooting along stem, flowering stems erect, flowers pendulous at tips. Steven R.
