NEW YORK BOTANICAL GARDEN PALMS OF VIETNAM Vietnam. Thua Thien-Hue Province: Bach Ma National Park, steep forested slopes, 16°14’N, 107°52’E, ca. 400 m elevation. 16 Apr 2007. Calamus may song Stems clustered, 20 m long. Sheaths densely spiny; ocreas very short; knee conspicuous, swollen; flagellum absent; petioles absent; rachis 200 cm long with 20 pinnae per side, these regularly arranged on adult plants, irregular on younger plants; cirrus 140 cm long. Inflorescences 153 cm long, not flagellate. A.
