PALMS OF VIETNAM Vietnam. Dong Nai Province: Cat Tien National Park, road along Dong Nai river, seasonally flooded lowland forest, 11°26’N, 107°26’E, 150 m elevation. 28 May 2007. Calamus palustris Griff. “song ” Stems clustered, 25 m long, 2.8 cm diameter with sheaths. Sheaths green with whitish-brown tomentum, densely covered with reddish- brown spines; ocreas short; knees swollen; petioles 3 cm long; rachis 165 cm long with 17 pinnae per side, these regularly arranged, pendulous; cirri 80 cm long. Inflorescences 90 cm long, not flagellate, arching, pistillate. A.
