limestone area, 16.077 N, 107.488 E, 892 m elevation. 7 Mar 2009.
Calamus	“may song”
Stems clustered, to 5 m tall and 1.5 cm diameter (with sheaths).
Sheaths mottled brown with numerous, straight spines; ocreas very
short; knee present; petioles 19 cm long; rachis 80 cm long with 13
irregularly arranged, linear-lanceolate pinnae borne in remote
clusters of 1-2; cirri present. Inflorescences short erect; staminate
flowers present, also pistillate flowers.
