Calamus palustris Griff.	“may”
Stems clustered, 10 m long, 2.7 cm diameter with sheaths. Sheaths
mottled with almost no spines; ocreas present; knees present;
flagella absent; cirri present with approximately regularly arranged
groups of spines; petioles 20 cm long; rachis 184 cm long with 26
pinnae arranged in remote pairs or threes; pinnae blunt at the apices.
Inflorescences staminate, inserted well below the apex of the leaf
sheath, with a faint ridge above the inflorescence leading to base of
petiole.
