National Park, road near park entrance, lowland forest on limestone,
20°15’N, 105°42’E, ca. 200 m elevation. 4 May 2007.
Calamus palustris Griff.	“song ”
Stems solitary, 35 m long, 5 cm diameter with leaf sheaths. Sheaths
yellowish-green, densely covered with downward pointing,
yellowish spines; knees swollen; ocreas obscure; petioles 25 cm
long, densely spiny on upper surface; rachis 330 cm long with 32
pinnae per side, irregularly arranged and spreading in different
planes; cirrus 126 cm long. Pistillate inflorescences pendulous, not
flagellate, with 10 partial inflorescences; rachillae to 10 cm long.
