Tree, 15 m x 25 cm. DBH. Leaves dark shiny green,
entire margins, 5 main veins arising above base of
blade. Flowers slighty zygomorphic. 52 mm diam.
8-9 petals - pink outside, white on inside. Stamens
16-18 forming ring in center. Large flattened
anthers with fold at bottom. Capitate, sticky
stigma exerted asymmetrically from ring of stamens.
Fruit a flattened globe with remnants of torn calyx
adhering to rim.
