Habitat
On rocky outcrops at edge of bisque. Bosque humedo andino, secondary scrub and surrounding cultivation. Locally common.

Description
Shrub to 3m x 3-4 cm diam., bark rough, pale gry; leaves rugose, dark bottle-green, slightly paler yellow; calyces blood-red, petals pale yellowish pink with green apices, suffusing pink with age, filaments pinkish red, anthers white, style dark red. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
