Habitat
Densely wooded alluvial soil near the river.

Description
Climbing and sprawling over trees; stem terete, crocked, 2 inches thick, bendable, branched at the top chiefly; wood soft, porous, reddish toward the center, bitterish, the outside whitish, odorless, bark thick, nearly castaneous, densely covered with similarly colored lenticels, yellowish on the inner surface, the middle portion molasses red; leaves descending, alternatingly scattered along the short tough brnaches; leaflets chartaceous, dark green except the nether side, strongly folded; infrutescence young, terminal, suberect, the branchlets fuligineous pubescent; fruits elongated, 1 inch long. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
