Habitat
In patches in places where water collects in rainy season; said to be common in such habitats. Low chaco forest. Caesalpinia paraguariensis, C. floribunda, Pterogyne nitens, Aspidosperma.

Slender shrub. 2 m. tall; wood soft. Flowers violet. Fruit green, globose, turning dark purple. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fertile, Fruit.
