Bolivia. El Beni. Cercado Prov. 7 km. SW of Trinidad, vicinity Puerto Almacen, along the Rio Ibare, a tributary paralleling the Rio Mamore.

Habitat
Flat, seasonally inundated, edge of short forest and roadsides. Common in places in drift along edge of river. Clay soil.

Description
Shrubs to 2 m. tall; stems to 3 cm. in diameter. Flowers nodding, white or pale violet, odorless. Many plants with only fruit; fruit green, usually falling with pedicel attached; fruits floating readily, and apparently this is the normal means of dispersal. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fertile, Fruit.
