Belize. Stann Creek. Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary, 1 km SE from visitors centre, 300m along & 30m off the Tiger Fern Trail, plot 1.

Habitat
Tropical evergreen, lowland, seasonal, broadleaf forest: Yucaton variant, canopy height 17+m, 80% canopy cover. Understory is dense layer of Polybotrys caudata, young Attalea cohune, Costus pulverulentus, Calathea micans, and numerous Psychotria and Miconia sp. Red clay-based soil in floodplain of tributary to South Stann Creek, granite bedrock with occasional limestone pockets.

Description
Shrub in tree fall gap, 2.5m tall. Pink inflorescence with white flowers. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
