  • Description

    Tree to 8 m. with straight naked trunk for 7 m. Gray bark. Crowned by foliate branches 1-1.5 m long. Apical branches, pedicels and 3 primary veins wine-red. Leaves dark green. Flowers lavender-red with yellow anther sacs. Branches just below the leafing area darkened and exfoliated, revealing light brown subsurface.
