    Sclerophyll. Eucalyptus sp., Eucalyptus grandis. Gregarious to subcespitose. On soil.

  • Description

    Pileus 4-9.5 cm broad, convex to plano-convex, moist to dry, very finely matted to nearly subtomentose, even or somewhat obscurely bumpy with age, grayish red to grayish rose (11,12C-D3), soon caramel brown to cinnamon brown (6C-D6,5), even at margin or sometimes with a sterile, slightly projecting flap. Flesh white, unchanging, with mild odor and bitter taste. Tubes adnexed, white at first, becoming pale vinaceous pink, staining pale brown on pores. Stipe 4-7 cm long, 1-2 cm broad, subclavate to clavate, dry, streaked with grayish red to grayish rose, eventually pale brown to tan, finely furfuraceous to subpruinose, white at base, with interior white, unchanging.
