Habitat
Rocky ridge with grasses and stunted trees, transition between headland and mixed forest.

Description
Tree, stunted here on ridge; emerging leaves solid bronze; petals white, very long; ovary glabrous on top. There are scattered individuals of this species throughout the preserve. They are all in the same phenological state. Emerging leaves are all uniformly bronze and the petals are uniformly long and narrow. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
