on Carretera Los Libertadores, just W of Rumichaca (the second
Rumichaca, not the town at the junction of Los Libertadoes and the
Castrovirreyna road), Dist Vinchos; roadside fields and pastures;
mostly potato cultivation and abandoned potato fields; highly
disturbed with Eucalyptus and pines.

Treelet 1.5 m; flowers purple, petals spreading or slightly cupped;
fruit green turning red when mature.
