    In thin woods over gneiss bedrock between the Bronx River Parkway and the Nolen Greenhouses and the Rose Garden, with Acer rubrum, Liquidambar styraciflua, Quercus sp.

  • Description

    Young tree 7m tall, 12cm in diameter, presumably native. Fruit dark green, the wings yellow-green. It is not unlike a tree in the nearby maple collection labelled Acer pictum, but it is not that species. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
