PHYCOTHECA BOREALI~AMERICANA. COLLINS, HOLDEN, AND SETCHELL.
836. Scinaia furcellata forma compianata
Washed ashore, Indian River Inlet, Florida, April, 1899.
MBS. G. A. HALL.
With cystocarps.
The frond is flattened throughout, even when quite fresh.
The habit resembles an unealcified Galaxaura obtusata, but the
structure agrees with typical S. furcellata. Possibly the same as
the plant described as Isymenia angusta, J. G. -Agardh, Analecta
Algologi&i, Cont. V, p. 66, 1899.
