Sandstone rock outcrops and adjacent mixed grass prairie with Bouteloua gracilis, Buchloe dactyloides, Opuntia polyacantha, Hesperostipa comata, Bromus tectorum, Rhus trilobata, Celtis reticulata, Thalictrum dasycarpum, Elymus canadensis, Toxicodendron rydbergii, and Pascopyrum smithii. Saxicolous on sandstone.
